29th July 2011 - Primera comes forward as prime sponsor

We are pleased to announce that Primera Sports has very kindly come forward as prime sponsor for the DFBR 2011. Following the success of last years event, in which Primera Sports provided all the technical support, Primera manager Alex Croucher has offered to up the ante for this years event. He is hoping to be able to offer DFBR entrants the chance to test ride a range of brand new mountain bikes from a couple of different manufaturers during the event. This is a fantastic opportunity for riders to try out new kit during a race. Check back regularly for updates.

June 2010 - DFBR 2010

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the DFBR 2010, you are all awesome. It was a very long 24 hrs, and you all took yourself to your limits to make this event a success, thank you all so much. I hope you enjoyed the experience and got what you wanted from the event.

It was amazing seeing you all coming up the road to Ferndown fire station together to the much deserved applause of the crowd, what a perfect end to a great 24 hours. I hope you don't ache for too long, and if you were injured, I hope it heals soon.
A massive thank you to all the support team, without you guys giving up your weekends' and your sleep there wouldn't have been an event:

Pete, Lorna and Tracey in the Abacus van, along with Linda worked incredibly hard transporting bikes, setting up and serving at the feeding stations, and clearing up after the riders left. Fantastic job guys, thank you.

Janine, Rob (and Zulu the dog), Paul (aka Moff), Debbie, Mark and Adam in the mini bus, broom wagon's and lead van, who drove through the night to keep the show on the road.

It was a tall challenge logistically, but these guys were up to the job. I am humbled by all your kindness, commitment and generosity.

My apologies for the confused first leg, it was a steep learning curve, but we soon got it sorted (I hope you'll agree). We learnt a lot on the way and have made a lot of notes, and ideas are flowing. We'll be emailing you a feedback form soon, so please tell us what you liked and what you didn't like.

Finally I want to give a massive thank you to Faris and Lee. As I said at the start, without their hard work and tireless enthusiasm over the last year this event couldn't have happened. Thank you guys, the beers are on me.

I hope you enjoyed the event and roll on DFBR 2011!

Cheers
Manny
