| Julia's House is Dorset's only hospice dedicated to children with life-limiting conditions. The majority of the children we care for are unlikely to live into adulthood ( defiened as beyond the age of 18). The childrens hospice complements the work of the Julia's House Community Team, which consist of 90 nurses and carers who travel the county providing life changing support for the families in their homes. |

| Lt John 'JT' Thornton RM, from Ferndown, Dorset, was tragically killed, aged 22, in southern Afghanistan on 30th March 2008. John lived his dream and died doing the job he loved. This charity has been founded with the simple objective that John wanted as his legacy: to encourage and assist young people to 'climb as high as they can dream |

| Every year, thousands of fire fighters are injured whilst protecting the public. Every 30 seconds in the UK, fire fighters are called to an incident, putting their lives on the line, and often sustaining physical injuries whilst carrying out their duties. The Fire Fighters Charity is here for fire fighters during their times of need, and assists over 17,000 individuals every year, by providing pioneering treatment and support services. |
